James Perkins, a Spurs fan, missed arguably the greatest second-half of football in his club’s history – all because of a few Heinekens.

The talkSPORT caller explained how, after a significant delay getting into the Amsterdam Arena, he assumed the game was almost over when he discovered Ajax were 2-0 up on the night.

So, in order to beat the queues getting out, he decided to leave just before the half-time whistle – a decision he now considers the biggest mistake of his life.

Lucas Moura struck a sensational hat-trick to send Spurs to the Champions League final, with James on the wrong side of the Amsterdam Arena gates.
