Sergio Aguero: Manchester City striker has now equalled the 228 goals Thierry Henry scored for Arsenal

Sergio Aguero has now equalled the amount of club goals Thierry Henry scored during his time in England.

The pair are widely considered to be two of the best foreign strikers to have played in the Premier League.

They are also both the record goalscorers for their respective clubs.

Henry scored 228 goals in 375 games for the Arsenal during an eight-year stint with the north London club that saw him win two Premier League titles and two FA Cups between 1999 and 2007.

Aguero has now equalled that total of 228 for Manchester City by scoring in their 2-0 win over Fulham on Saturday.

The Argentina international is also in his eighth season in England but has reached that total in 43 fewer games.

Aguero still has fewer Premier League goals but is on course to overtake him if he continues scoring at the same rate.

Henry hit 175 for the Gunners while Aguero has 162.

The Manchester City forward is currently leading the way with 19 Premier League goals this season ahead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Harry Kane, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah who all have 17.
