The Blues academy graduate has scored eight goals and registered five assists in a breakthrough season at Stamford Bridge.

He has two years left on his current deal, but Chelsea are keen to tie him down to avoid a Callum Hudson-Odoi saga.
The club are facing a fight to keep the 18-year-old, whose contract expires next summer. Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are understood to be interested in the youngster.
Loftus-Cheek, 23, initially struggled for game-time under Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, despite starring for Crystal Palace last season, which resulted in a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad at the 2018 World Cup.

But he has edged out Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic to establish himself as a key member of Chelsea’s squad in their pursuit of a top-four spot.

Team-mate Cesar Azpilicueta is adamant Loftus-Cheek will be a Chelsea star if he stays fit.
He said: “I have told him a lot of times that he needed to be fit. For a long time with Chelsea he wasn’t able to play and train for a few weeks in a row.

“He’s come from Crystal Palace after having a good loan there. He came to Chelsea after the World Cup and the manager trusted him, but due to a few back problems he couldn’t get the rhythm of being involved in the team every week.
“But since he has been doing this, we have seen an improvement, his confidence in space is very good. He is very strong.
“He is a good attacking midfielder that can attack the box and score goals. I’m sure the only way he can go is up.â€
