West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold were branded the ‘Dildo Brothers’ by Sporting Lisbon president Bruno de Carvalho a couple of years ago after the east London club failed to sign William Carvalho.

The name is a reference to the pair amassing their early fortune in the adult industry; Gold bought Ann Summers in 1971 and turned it into an established high street brand, while Sullivan produced pornography and various adult magazines.

Last year, West Ham fans took an inflatable penis to the London Stadium for their match against Huddersfield, and then after Javier Hernandez equalised against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, they threw a dildo on the pitch.
