The Portugal international’s wide range of passing and long-range shooting has caught the eye of a number of suitors, most notably Liverpool, with Wolves primed for plenty of interest in their star man this summer.
Former Reds midfielder Jamie Redknapp believes Wanderers will face a tough battle to keep Neves, likening him to Liverpool legend Xabi Alonso.
And Neves, who was coached by Red coach Pep Lijnders in the Porto academy, has lauded Klopp’s side a ‘great team’ following their 2-0 defeat at Anfield on the final day of the season.
He said: “We had our chances to score, but Liverpool is a great team, they had a little bit more go and unfortunately we lost, but we left with a great performance I think.

“It was a difficult game. We all know what Liverpool is, how Liverpool play, but I think we did a great game. We lost 2-0 but mainly in the second half we controlled the game really well.
“We knew before the game that they wanted to win, because they were fighting for a title, but I think we played like usual.
“We had a really good shape, were very organised and waited for the right moments to attack. I think we played well.
“Unfortunately, we didn’t score today, but mainly in the second half I think we made a great game.”
