The winger signed his professional contract with Leeds in 2017 and is understood to run until 2021.

Manchester City attempted to lure him from United’s academy prior to him signing the contract two years ago.

His development this season was slightly hampered by a virus earlier this year that saw him collapse while on the substitutes bench against Middlesbrough in February.

He did not return to training until a month later and was back in first team action on March 16.

Clarke was also named as the club’s Young Player of the Year following the end of the season.
