Juventus have had images of their shirt for the 2019/20 season leaked and they confirm the design is a drastic change from what the club and fans are used to.
Pictures have emerged online showing players Paulo Dybala and Federico Bernardeschi modelling the kit and, as previously leaked, the iconic black and white stripes are no more, as seen on FootyHeadlines.
Manufacturers adidas have instead replaced them with just two solid blocks of colour, separated by a bold pink stripe, a colour which has featured regularly on the clubs away kits.
This would mean Juventus will play without a striped shirt since way back in 1903.
It should not come as too much of a surprise, just take a look at a Juventus shirt in recent seasons and you will see that the number of stripes have have gradually started to dwindle and their most recent uniform only boasts two black ones.
LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS
Fans will always remember their most recent shirt as the one Cristiano Ronaldo arrived in to help Juventus win their record-breaking eighth consecutive league title, although Champions Legaue glory continues to evade them.
The shirt is complemented by plain black shorts, which have subtle white accents, showing the logos of both adidas and the club, while the socks, have a pink stripe of their own across the shins.
While fans have been divided over the the apparent new kit, it is not the first time the club have altered their history in search of a more modern look.
Back in 2017, Juventus redesigned their club crest and while the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal have revamped their badge, the Italians completely abandoned their traditional design for a minimalist look of a simple ‘J’ with the club’s name above it.
Racism in association football has been most studied in the European Union and Russia, although racist incidents have been reported abroad. In response to racist incidents at association football matches, in May 2013, FIFA, the international governing body of association football, announced new measures to deal with racism in the sport.
